Generated topology on infinite sets by ultrafilters
Let $X$ be an infinite set, equipped with a topology $tau$. In this paper we studied the relationship between $tau$, and ultrafilters on $X$. We can discovered, among other thing, some relations of the Robinson's compactness theorem, continuity and the separation axioms. It is important also, aspects of communication between mathematical concepts.
متن کاملReconstructing Multivariate Trigonometric Polynomials by Sampling along Generated Sets
The approximation of problems in d spatial dimensions by sparse trigonometric polynomials supported on known or unknown frequency index sets I ⊂ Zd is an important task with a variety of applications. The use of a generalization of rank1 lattices as spatial discretizations offers a suitable possibility for sampling such sparse trigonometric polynomials. Given an index set of frequencies, we con...
متن کاملEfficient reliability updating of slope stability by reweighting failure samples generated by Monte Carlo simulation
Direct Monte Carlo simulation (MCS) could be prohibitively expensive for slope reliability updating problem with relatively low-probability level. This paper aims to propose an efficient slope reliability updating method based on the direct MCS. First, the direct MCS is briefly introduced. Thereafter, a weighted approach based on the direct MCS is proposed for slope reliability updating. Furthe...
متن کاملCharacterizations of groups generated by Kronecker sets
In recent years, starting with the paper [B-D-S], we have investigated the possibility of characterizing countable subgroups of the torus T = R/Z by subsets of Z. Here we consider new types of subgroups: let K ⊆ T be a Kronecker set (a compact set on which every continuous function f : K → T can be uniformly approximated by characters of T ), and G the group generated by K. We prove (Theorem 1)...
متن کاملCentral limit theorem for random measures generated by stationary processes of compact sets
Random measures derived from a stationary process of compact subsets of the Euclidean space are introduced and the corresponding central limit theorem is formulated. The result does not require the Poisson assumption on the process. Approximate confidence intervals for the intensity of the corresponding random measure are constructed in the case of fibre processes.
